Freshly Picked...

Today we visited a local berry farm to pick some red ripe strawberries. We weren't sure if Ruby would like it, but we  figured it would be something fun to do. When we arrived at the berry farm, we grabbed some boxes and hopped on the tractor ride. We rode out into the field and started picking away. Although the strawberries were quite small, we quickly filled our box. We kept telling Ruby to pick the red ones, but she couldn't get enough of the green ones that weren't even close to being ripe. I think she definitely ate more strawberries than she added to our box, but seeing her innocent face and clothes drenched in strawberry juice was worth it. She was so excited the entire time and cried when it was time to go. I cherish simple days like this that we get to spend together.

aww! I have such great memories of going strawberry picking when I was younger. We don't see those kind of farms where I live now, unfortunately!
