Summer Girls
I have really been enjoying this summer home with my girls. Violet is almost four months old. She is literally the happiest baby on the block and I could stare into her bright blue eyes all day. Ruby is getting very excited to start preschool and has become quite the little fish this summer in the pool. She says the funniest things and always know how to make me smile. I feel like I am finally able to manage life with two little ones, but the thought of going back to work in a couple of weeks makes me get knots in my stomach. I hope the next two weeks c r a w l on by. A couple of weeks ago I had their pictures taken. I love these days with my summer girls!

A Berry Lovely Day...
Last week, Scott had a day off so we took the girls to a local farm to pick strawberries. This is one of my favorite traditions that we have. Violet slept right through her first hay rack ride and her first time strawberry picking. Maybe next year she will enjoy it more. I loved watching Ruby frantically looking for perfect ripe, red strawberries. She always likes to munch on a few while we fill up our baskets... it never fails. Her little grin with strawberry juice dripping everywhere is always priceless. I love these simple, summer days with my little family.

Dancing Queen...
Last weekend, Ruby had her very first dance recital. The days leading up to her recital were full of nervous excitement for both Ruby and me. Since she can be kind of shy, I was worried she would panic when she got on the bright stage and looked out at the sea of people. Turns out I was worried about nothing. The minute I saw her skip out to her number, I knew she was going to do great. She smiled the entire time and tried her very best to remember all of her moves. I was beaming with pride and thought she did an amazing job!

Life in pictures...
I don't seem to have any time to post updates these days because I've been spending every second with my girls. When I actually do have some time to myself (which doesn't happen often), I just want to sleep! Here are some recent pictures of Violet's first trip to the zoo and to our favorite ice cream parlor. She slept most of the time, but we had a lovely day:

This Moment...
{this moment} – A weekly ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Inspired by SouleMama.

Baby of Mine...
As I sit here typing this, my little Violet is next to me giggling in her sleep. Ruby is snoozing away in her cozy bed. I enjoyed spending Mother's Day with my two little girls. We didn't really do much of anything, but it was a perfect day to me. The girls are my whole world and I feel like I was put on this earth to be their mom.
I forgot how fast time flies when there is a newborn in the house. Violet just turned 1 month old and is growing and changing so much by the day. She grins constantly. Sometimes when I rock her and Ruby, I am suddenly filled with sadness because I realize how fast they are growing up, so I try to savor each tender moment.
Ruby is the best sister, or mother hen as I refer to her. She loves to help watch her little sister, give her baths, and feed her bottles. I always tell Ruby she is going to be a great mommy someday and she just thinks it is so funny when I say that. Someday she will understand what I mean...
Part of our day was spent with my own mom and Scott's mom. I feel so lucky and blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful women.
Cheers to all of the wonderful moms in the world.

Hello Violet...
Early in the morning on April 10th, our sweet little Violet entered the world. We have been busy trying to catch up on sleep and adjusting as a family of four. Ruby is the best big sister and helps her mom a lot. We are so happy and incredibly blessed to have two beautiful little girls!
